Welcome to the second Saturday Challenge - join, or don't that's up to you - but I challenge you to do it...
Today I Challenge You To...
1. Say something nice about 2 different people that you've met through blogging, shop ownership, etc..
2. Do something nice for a complete stranger, doesn't have to be big or expensive.
3. Say something good about yourself.
4. Be thankful for something.
5. Do something that scares you, that you've been putting off or that you normally wouldn't because other people think it's "not like you"...
Challenge Accepted:
1. Say something nice about 2 different people that you've met through blogging, shop ownership, etc..
* I have to give a shout out to Claire at All The Adorables (on Etsy) - I purchased most of my blog icons (media, tabs, post labels, signature) from her a few weeks ago - not only were they awesome, but she noticed one of the graphics looked "off" and redid it and sent it to me - I didn't notice, but she took her time to fix it - amazing lady!
* Also I have to say thank you to KC at Bits & Pieces for all of her support, kind words, amazing twitter conversations and laughs over the past few months - I've never met her, but I know she's an amazing woman who has the ability to make people feel important.
2. Do something nice for a complete stranger, doesn't have to be big or expensive.
I know last week I bought someone coffee, I might do that... but ideally I'd love to give one of my key-chain wallets to the little barista who works at my Starbucks, I don't know her name but I know she's starting college this week, isn't living with her parents and is working hard to pay her rent and decorate her new digs - I know this because she and her mom came to eat at P.F. Chang's before I realized she worked at "my" Starbucks... but she is always so nice and sweet, you'd never know how hard she's working!
3. Say something good about yourself.
I try to be genuine with everyone I meet, I know a lot of people who don't. I just think that people should get to know the real you right away, what they do with it is their decision. I think it's a good quality, because then I'm not "wasting time" on people who only like the person they think I am.
4. Be thankful for something.
Honestly? For tonight I am thankful that I don't have diabetes (yet) because otherwise that chocolate cake I ate after my double shift yesterday just might have killed me!
5. Do something that scares you, that you've been putting off or that you normally wouldn't because other people think it's "not like you"...
** Check back later today to see what I've done!
So, not huge, but I finally cleaned out my car - it only took like a whole hour! Haha, it's now shiny, vacuumed and free of crap! Also on that note, need to stay away from Starbucks for a while (I type this with one in hand...).
Hi - linking up for the first time and following you now. I saw this link up on Little Waterlily Big Pond. Love this idea!!
