Vanilla Butter Cream Frosting

Are you searching for a snazzy way to fix up those store bought cupcakes? I usually am... haha. Butter Cream frosting is most definitely the way to go about that - its delicious, amazing, melt in your mouth goodness cannot be ignored.

Frosting:
2 sticks of butter (unsalted)
3-5 cups of powdered sugar
Smidge of vanilla (I don't measure vanilla, in my house it's always - "hmm, could use more vanilla")
Dash of milk (1-2 tbs).

1. First you will mix the butter with your beater, try saying that 5 times fast, until the butter is fluffy and holds form (you don't want to microwave the butter - you want the frosting to hold its shape). 1-2 minutes
2. Then slowly (or you will have a HUGE mess) add the sugar a bit at a time and keep mixing for 1-2 minutes
3. Add the vanilla and the milk - not too much or it will make the frosting less sturdy
4. Keep adding sugar and/or milk and vanilla until the taste and texture makes you happy

-Then, simply put into your pastry bag - or a zippy with the corner cut off - and frost away!

  1. Sounds yummy! We always use almond extract in our's and I'm not in love with it. I'll have to try vanilla next!
