What are you reading?

So, in today's current Hollywood obsession with making books into movies, I have started reading books that I didn't know were books before they were movies - or didn't know they were going to be movies.

The best series (since Twilight hehe) is definitely the whole "Hunger Games" trilogy. It's absolutely amazing, and if you haven't read it, I strongly suggest you do before the movie comes out on March 23rd!
MUST READ, But we also have to wonder how they will change the story when they make it into a movie, because they can never just get it quite right.

So then, after coming off of this book ride I just wasn't finding anything that sounded too interesting... and I decided I would read something else that is in theaters - War Horse.  Let me say, the movie was good - but completely unlike the book in multiple ways. So I would recommend both, because the book was amazing and the the movie was beautiful!

After War Horse I was pointed toward, "I Am Number Four"... which I didn't realize was a book, I just thought it was a movie. And again, the movie was completely different than the book!  I mean, even their powers weren't the same - so all I have to say to that is... WHY?!  After reading this book, you might also want to read the sequel, which I am currently reading!

Anyway, what are you all reading? I strongly encourage reading the books that movies are made from, because they are never the same - but always just as much fun!

  1. So fun, I've started like 3 or 4 books now. I have a hard time just sticking to one! Right now I'm on THe Lucky One (Nicholas Sparks), House Rules (Jodi Picoult), and Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (Mindy Kaling.) It's so hard because there are just so many books I want to read!

  2. I absolutely loved the Hunger Games series. I was so sad when they ended, haha! And I loved the Twilight series as well - you aren't alone there! :)

I had no idea War Horse was a book - thanks for the tip!
