Hello Again!
I know I posted earlier this week that I would be back to blogging, then subsequently disappeared again - this will not be the case, I promise! I have just been super super super super super busy/stressed getting everything ready for this 3 day craft-show this weekend... especially more-so since I found out that I am only one of 4 booths that will be selling crafted things like hair accessories and sewn bags, as it's also an antique market of sorts - so that can go 2 ways, either no one will buy anything, or lots of people will buy stuff because it's different, and significantly less expensive than antiques!
So that's what's been going on with me... here's what's going on with the blog:
1. Need May Sponsors, anyone interested please check out the sponsor information here, there are free options!
2. New things in May, including: TUTORIAL TUESDAYS, are you excited?! Because it's going to be an adventure!
3. I am planning on organizing a May Swap of some sort!!! I am thinking that it will be a "Hand Made Swap", where all participants will be given a partner and those two will swap items from their shop, or things that they make just for their swap partner!
Okay well, I need to get back to writing my 2 papers, and making my bazillion and million of bows and totes and stuff (oh yeah, and working)...
See you all on Tuesday for the first ever TUTORIAL TUESDAY in May!

And she's back!!!!
Oh my goodness. I went away for a while, and didn't even realize how long it had been - but alas, it was an entire month sans blogging... you wanna know something terrible, didn't really miss it since I've been keeping up with other people on Twitter and Instagram - Oh I'm so bad.
It's okay, ya'll didn't miss much in my life. Here's the run down of the past month:
* Worked and went to school... crafted a lot.
* Finished my thesis
* Failed my police physical exam back home (that was my Spring Break, good times) - but it was 50 degrees colder than I'm currently used to, oh and I wasn't as prepared as I should have been - if I'm being honest...
* Applied for a bunch of other jobs for which I also need to pass a physical exam... which means I need to start working harder...
All of that being said, I have decided to sign up for my first Craft Fair... and because I never do anything the easy, small way... nope, I am not a "dip your toe in the water" kinda gal, if I've learned anything in life, it's that you have to dive right in...
So I signed up for a 3 day show - a total of 20 hours of Craft Fair goodness, it's the first year for this show so fingers crossed it goes well... also it's a 2 hour round trip drive for 4 days in a row - so that's fun... and I'm most likely going alone, since my 2 friends are busy. Yeah, I said it, I have 2 friends here that I can count on to come, and that I really want to spend a whole day with... it's pretty awesome. (The Market at the Mill Craft Market in New Roads, Louisiana)
What do you do when you sign up for a craft show without any idea of what you're doing? You research... buy some books on Craft Fair things, oh and SHOP, SHOP, SHOP... gotta find the perfect booth set up and you need different packaging than when you sell online... oh also you lose sleep, because you are up till all hours stressing and brainstorming. Did I mention you SHOP? Because I have been to all kinds of stores.
Here is a mock booth set up... that table, yes it is the silver one found over in the "Re-Dos" tab - the silver was a terrible idea, it is soooooo much cuter now. The baskets 3 for 2.50 (total) from Good-Will then spray painted to match... the banner is temporary until I make one that isn't taped together... I'm still working on it, but I have a week... so that's okay! Also check out the mess that I have created!
Questions, comments, concerns?
Okay good, have to get back to working on the LAST POWERPOINT presentation of my college career (unless I decide to get a PhD sometime in the future)...
